Itinerary

Mon – Your relaxing Devon break begins with a scenic coach journey to the English Riviera. On arrival at the TLH Carlton hotel settle into your room and enjoy a welcome evening meal. This evening, explore the hotel’s leisure facilities, meet fellow travellers, or simply relax in your comfortable surroundings.

Tue – Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure in Torquay. Take advantage of the Resort’s excellent facilities, stroll along the beautiful seafront, browse the local shops, or simply unwind and soak up the charm of this classic English Riviera resort.

Wed – This morning we travel to the charming fishing town of Brixham. Explore the colourful harbour, the replica Golden Hind (viewable from the quay), and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the quayside.
After some time to explore and enjoy lunch, we return to Torquay via the Western Lady Ferry (subject to sea conditions). This beautiful 30-minute coastal cruise offers fantastic views of the English Riviera shoreline, perfect for springtime photos. Return to the resort with time to relax before dinner.

Thu – Today we head to the historic city of Exeter. Spend the morning exploring Rougemont Gardens, a peaceful and scenic green space on the site of a Norman castle, filled with spring flowers and historic features.

Later, we visit the Turk’s Head Brewery, a craft brewery set within one of Exeter’s oldest pubs (dating back to the 1500s). Including a guided brewery tour, a trio of 1/3 pint tasters of the brewhouse beer, and a choice from a selection of freshly made sandwiches.

In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore the Cathedral Green or take a stroll along Exeter Quay before we return to the resort for our final evening meal together.

Fri - After breakfast, we bid farewell to Torquay and begin our journey home. You’ll return refreshed, with fond memories of coastal ferries, garden strolls, and good company.
