Sun 12 July 2026 – Arrival in Stranraer
Travel to Stranraer and check in to the charming North West Castle Hotel, your base for exploring the stunning South West of Scotland. Enjoy a relaxing evening in the hotel’s leisure facilities, including the pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, and gym. Dine in the main restaurant with a 3-course menu including vegetarian options, then unwind in your comfortable room.
Mon 13 July 2026 – Robert Burns Museum & Culzean Castle
After a hearty full Scottish breakfast, visit the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway, celebrating Scotland’s national poet. Continue to Culzean Castle & Country Park, a dramatic cliff-top castle with beautifully landscaped gardens. Enjoy a day immersed in Scottish history, heritage, and spectacular coastal views. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Tue 14 July 2026 – Logan Botanic Garden & Castle Kennedy Gardens
Explore the exotic Logan Botanic Garden, home to a stunning variety of plants from around the world. In the afternoon, wander the tranquil Castle Kennedy Gardens, known for their vibrant flower displays and serene lakes. A day of colourful gardens and peaceful scenery awaits before returning to the North West Castle Hotel for dinner and overnight.
Wed 15 July 2026 – Galloway Forest Park & Kitchen Coos and Ewes
Discover the natural beauty of Galloway Forest Park, Scotland’s first Dark Sky Park, and enjoy a stop at Kirroughtree Visitor Centre. In the afternoon, experience life on a working farm at Kitchen Coos and Ewes. Meet Highland coos and sheep, watch a sheep shearing or sheepdog demonstration, and finish with a delicious Cream Tea of scones, clotted cream, jams, pancakes, and traybakes. Return to the hotel for your final evening in Stranraer.
Thu 16 July 2026 – Departure
After breakfast, check out of the North West Castle Hotel and begin your journey home. Along the way, we’ll make comfort stops for refreshments and a chance to stretch your legs. Travel in comfort while reflecting on memories of castles, gardens, coos, and the stunning landscapes of South West Scotland.
