Queen Anne Docked at Liverpool and New Brighton

.

This event in Liverpool is expected to draw tens of thousands of spectators to vantage points alongside the river at Pier Head, between New Brighton and Seacombe on Wirral and on beaches at Formby and Crosby in Sefton.

Cunard ships have previously attracted more than a million spectators to the banks of the Mersey, first for the maiden call of the renowned QE2 in July 1990, and in 2015 for the Three Queens ‘royal rendezvous’ in front of the Cunard Building to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the most famous name in shipping.

In New Brighton you’ll find one of Wirral’s most iconic landmarks, New Brighton Lighthouse. Built back in 1830, head over at sunrise or sunset for breathtaking views and epic photo opportunities.

Away from the seafront is New Brighton’s Victorian Quarter, bursting with independent bars and restaurants, music venues, record stores, vintage shops and even a vibrant street art trail.

Wirral’s largest theatre, the Floral Pavillion, can also be found in New Brighton and with a calendar full of local and visiting shows, you’re sure to find something that takes your fancy.
