Itinerary
Sat – Relaxing Southbound Journey & Welcome Dinner
We begin our journey south with a comfortable morning departure, giving you time to settle in, unwind and enjoy the scenic landscapes along the way. On arrival at the hotel, check into your room and take the rest of the afternoon at leisure. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner as you ease gently into your holiday.
Sun – The Enchanting Lost Gardens of Heligan
Today we explore the magical Lost Gardens of Heligan, one of England’s most atmospheric and romantic estates. Once abandoned and reclaimed by nature, the gardens were rediscovered in the 1990s and lovingly restored to reveal more than 200 acres of remarkable landscapes. Wander through sub-tropical jungle valleys, giant tree ferns, bamboo tunnels and ancient woodland. Discover wildlife-rich meadows, heritage farm areas and hidden pathways that bring Heligan’s charm and history to life.
In the afternoon, you may choose an optional visit to Truro, Cornwall’s elegant cathedral city, offering boutique shops, handsome Georgian streets and its magnificent neo-Gothic cathedral.
Mon – Beautiful Trebah Gardens & Falmouth
This morning, we begin our day with a visit to the stunning Trebah Gardens – a spectacular valley garden overflowing with exotic plants, vibrant colours and dramatic subtropical scenery. Wander along its winding paths, enjoy lush year-round foliage, and follow the route down to Trebah’s private beach, a peaceful and atmospheric spot in any season. In the afternoon, we travel on to Falmouth, a vibrant harbour town rich in maritime heritage. Here you may choose to explore the award-winning National Maritime Museum Cornwall, home to fascinating nautical exhibits, interactive displays and historic vessels. Alternatively, visit imposing Pendennis Castle, the mighty fortress built by Henry VIII, offering impressive grounds and insights into Victorian and WWII coastal defences.
Tues – The World-Famous Eden Project
Prepare to be amazed as we spend the day at the Eden Project, one of the most extraordinary attractions in the world. Once a barren china clay pit, this vast crater now cradles enormous biomes that house the largest indoor rainforest on the planet. Wander through steamy jungle paths, stand beneath a crashing waterfall and ascend to a breathtaking canopy walkway high above the forest floor.
Then step into the warm Mediterranean Biome, filled with lemon groves, olive trees, herbs and colourful flora from the world’s sunniest regions. Outside, explore sculpture trails, global gardens and inspiring exhibits that tell the powerful story of plants and their importance in everyday life. Eden is uplifting, educational and unforgettable.
Wed – Homeward Bound
After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to Cornwall and begin our relaxing journey home, taking with us wonderful memories of its natural beauty, rich history and world-class attractions.
