Relax and take in sweeping Highland views as the train glides across the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct and journeys through dramatic glens, lochs and mountain landscapes.

Your tour also includes time in the charming coastal town of Oban, known as the Gateway to the Isles, before continuing to Fort William , your base for the journey. Set on the shores of Loch Linnhe and beneath the towering presence of Ben Nevis, Fort William is surrounded by crystal-clear lochs, rugged peaks, and some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Scottish Highlands. Hotel

Croit Anna Hotel, Fort William
Set on the picturesque shores of Loch Linnhe, just two miles south-west of Fort William, the Croit Anna Hotel offers a wonderfully scenic Highland retreat. Guests can relax in the spacious lounge and bar, where panoramic views across the loch to the surrounding mountains   create a truly memorable setting.

The hotel provides an ideal base for exploring the Highlands, combining comfort with outstanding natural beauty. All rooms are well-appointed with tea and coffee-making facilities, a hairdryer, and Freeview TV with radio channels.

Please note that the hotel does not have a lift.

 

Itinerary

Sat – Travel north and arrive at the hotel. Settle into your room before enjoying your evening meal.

During this holiday, the following experiences will be included:

*  A visit to the historic Ben Nevis Distillery in Fort William, offering a warm Highland welcome and an insight into traditional Scotch whisky-making.

*  Time in Oban, known as the “Seafood Capital,” with its fresh cuisine, stunning coastal scenery and charming atmosphere.

*  A spectacular train journey from Fort William to Mallaig, often described as one of the greatest rail journeys in the world, showcasing dramatic landscapes, mountains, lochs and coastal scenery, with free time to explore the bustling harbour town of Mallaig.

Wed – After breakfast, we depart the hotel and begin our journey home.
