07 June 2027 – Ferry Crossing & Glendalough
Your holiday begins with a ferry crossing from Holyhead to Dublin, giving you time to relax and enjoy the views across the Irish Sea. On arrival, we travel through the beautiful Wicklow Mountains to visit Glendalough, one of Ireland’s most important early Christian sites founded by St Kevin in the 6th century. Set within a dramatic glacial valley, you will see the remains of a monastic settlement including a round tower, ancient churches and peaceful lakeside scenery. After your visit we continue to Waterford where we check in to our hotel for a four-night stay and enjoy your evening meal.
08 June 2027 – Cobh Heritage Centre & Titanic Experience
After Breakfast we travel to the historic harbour town of Cobh, one of Ireland’s most fascinating coastal towns. At the Cobh Heritage Centre, discover the powerful story of Irish emigration and the millions who left Ireland for new lives overseas. Cobh was also the Titanic’s last port of call, and the Titanic Experience brings this story vividly to life. You will also have time to admire St Colman’s Cathedral and enjoy views across one of the world’s largest natural harbours before returning to Waterford. After we will return to the hotel for your evening meal
09 June 2027 – Waterford at Leisure
Today is free for you to explore Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city, at your own pace. You may wish to visit the Viking Triangle, explore the Waterford Treasures Museums, stroll along the River Suir, browse the local shops or relax in a café or traditional Irish pub.
10 June 2027 – Johnstown Castle
Today we visit the impressive Johnstown Castle near Wexford. Surrounded by over 120 acres of landscaped gardens, woodland walks and ornamental lakes, the castle is a striking example of Gothic Revival architecture. You will have time to explore the grounds, gardens and agricultural museum while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
11 June 2027 – Kilkenny & Journey Home
On the journey home we stop in the medieval city of Kilkenny. Here you will have time to explore the city’s charming streets, shops and cafés, and perhaps visit Kilkenny Castle, which dominates the skyline and reflects Ireland’s Norman heritage. Afterwards we continue to Dublin Port for our return ferry crossing to Holyhead, bringing your enjoyable Irish break to a close.
